The Internal Communications & Creative Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing internal/employee and recruiting communications content and contributing to programs that actively engage Gordian’s global internal audiences. Reporting to the Communications Sr. Manager, the Specialist translates business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies and implements programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape Gordian's culture.

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing communications plans, strong writing skills, video editing and graphic design capabilities and thinks strategically while delivering tactical results. Responsibilities:

  • Develops communication materials using various tactics (written communications, photos, videos, newsletters and presentation materials) to articulate key internal messages.

  • Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with Gordian’s priorities and themes.

  • Enhances Gordian’s internal communication effectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery and identity through a variety of channels.

  • Assists with the logistics planning, content collection and coordination and execution of in-person and virtual employee events, as needed.

  • Assists in writing and editing engaging content that promotes diversity and inclusion, recruitment, professional development, human resources and other programs and initiatives in support of Gordian’s goals and culture.

  • Works with appropriate Gordian leaders and team members to create and maintain content for employee communication channels.

  • Use various graphic creation and video editing software to create effective, high-quality content.

  • Helps manage content for the global company intranet, ensuring that it is up-to-date, engaging and informative. This includes helping to maintain the content of the homepage, implement changes to the navigation or page links, working with departments and teams to help maintain individual team sites and pages and various other tasks.

  • Work with manager to develop reporting and metrics to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels with the goal of continuously improving internal communications strategy to reach and engage employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, fine arts, English, communications, marketing or a related field.

  • 2+ years of relevant communications and/or creative experience.

  • Previous experience in writing and editing marketing content

  • Experience with web and digital content and examples of video and creative abilities.

  • Experience in content creation and graphics.

  • Experience using and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus (internal email software, intranet system, MS Teams, SharePoint, SocialChorus, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high quality results.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Willingness to establish relationships and collaborate across the broader marketing team, human resources, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, product, leadership and other teams.

  • Strong teammate with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels.

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Illustrator).

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Willing and able to travel periodically to key internal events.

  • Writing and creative samples will be requested.

National: The salary range for this position is $54,100 - $100,500

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
