Fortive Corporation Accounts Receivable Supervisor in Fayetteville, North Carolina

The Accounts Receivable and Credit Team Leader assumes responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day functions of our Accounts Receivable and Credit department. This pivotal position involves supervising staff, meticulous process management, and ensuring timely payment collections. Additionally, the Team Leader resolves disputes promptly, establishes appropriate credit lines, and fosters customer satisfaction through proactive engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of AR and Credit Analysts.

  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Perform monthly analysis and reporting of account balances, explaining variances month over month.

  • Ensure timely collection of past-due invoices while maintaining positive customer relationships.

  • Oversee resolution of disputes and short payments within established policies.

  • Provide leadership to a team of skilled Commercial Credit & AR Specialists, setting goals, objectives, and offering guidance.

  • Mitigate customer risk by establishing and managing appropriate credit lines.

  • Cultivate internal relationships by collaborating with field management to address account issues.

  • Uphold proper SOX controls and achieve results for the AR team.

  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, aligning with organizational and departmental requirements.

  • Escalate account issues to management when necessary.

  • Contribute to special projects, report preparation, and other assigned duties.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • 3-5+ years of accounts receivable and credit experience, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and managing processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Hybrid role (3 days onsite).
