Fortive Corporation Strategy and M&A Partner in Everett, Washington

As a member of the Fluke Strategy Team, you will work with the senior leadership team at Fluke to support the company’s M&A, partnerships, and annual strategic process delivering strategic insights through primary and secondary research into markets and technologies, and support growth initiatives and commercial due diligence.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the Fluke mergers and acquisition pipeline in coordination with Fortive Corporate M&A and strategy teams.

  • Drive annual strategic planning process in close collaboration with the rest of the strategy/M&A team and Fluke leadership: hypothesis building and ideation through delivery of final output.

  • Create insightful ways to segment the market and evolve competitive intelligence. Leverage market insights to formulate strategic hypothesis.

  • Develop a robust funnel of opportunities/projects to support both inorganic and organic growth.

  • Work with senior leaders to drive consensus around business development priorities for Fortive, including quarterly engagement with Product Line GMs and P&L Leaders to prepare quarterly updates on strategic execution.

  • Play a critical role in translation of strategy to execution roadmap.

  • Be a strategic thought partner in key decisions regarding Fluke’s overall growth strategies.

  • Work across the organization to harness in-house expertise.

  • Situationally build as owner and build by driving & mentoring ad hoc cross-functional teams to M&A tollgate milestones for review by Fluke and Fortive executives.

  • Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions.

  • Drive continuous improvement of our M&A, strategy, market work and due diligence efforts through Fortive Business System (FBS).

  • 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate strategy & M&A for a business in excess of $1B in revenues.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand the strategic implications of portfolio analysis and to make strong, well-supported recommendations.

  • Dedicated to mentorship: a steadfast approach to coach and develop talent within the organization is necessary.

  • Have had exposure to commercial due diligence projects, growth strategy, market scans, and/or pipeline analysis.

  • Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative strategic analysis.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both orally and on paper to executive audiences.

  • Proven success working in the context of a large, complex organization where leading through influence and collaboration are keys to success.

  • Domain expertise in industrial manufacturing, IoT, and/or regulated industries will be a strong plus.

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or related field. An MBA degree is preferred, but not required.

  • The successful candidate should have runway and desire to move into the Fluke business or Fortive acquisition in either general management or functional roles

Everett, WA: The salary range for this position is $114,655 - $212,750

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
