Day in the Life of a Metrologist

In this job you will be responsible and managing the electrical accredited (RvA) lab from Fluke in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), also audits and maintaining and improving uncertainty budgets is part of the daily activities.

This work is done in a team that takes care of good results to our customers; we target to have all calibrations performed with the best uncertainty possible

As our Eindhoven lab is the main service lab in Europe, we service all customers in EMEA that require service and support on their test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct uncertainty analysis and contribute to measurement uncertainty budgets.

• Manage the accreditation process, including documentation, audits, and corrective actions.

• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in metrology standards.

• Train and mentor junior metrology staff.

• Participate in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons.

• Prepare and maintain calibration documentation, including certificates and reports.

Your Team

In the Eindhoven lab we have 42 technicians of all kind of nationalities, it is a great team that with the help of a strong logistic team is managing strong growth and increasing customer satisfaction at the highest level.

Qualifications - External

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical metrology.

• Proficiency in using calibration software and measurement tools.

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and accreditation requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.

• Being a team player.
