Job Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer is responsible for quality systems and quality engineering activities associated with AS9100. They will support the Corrective Action tracking and closure, Corrective Action Review Board activities, root cause analysis and problem solving, process auditing, collection and analysis of data, as well as driving and managing continuous improvement activities. They will interface with internal and external (second and third party) audits to support the maintenance of Quality Management System.

The Quality Engineer is also responsible in deployment and sustainment of the APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) based on the AS 9145.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and host external audits around AS9100 as well as conduct and manage internal audits and internal audit program.

  • Facilitate customer and regulatory audits.

  • Manage the maintenance of the documentation process in compliance with business needs, AS9100 and other regulatory bodies.

  • Coordinate Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) process.

  • Lead special projects around SPC, Calibration, and Cleanroom measurements and controls.

  • Lead deployment and sustainment of the APQP. Train team members on the elements.

  • Lead cross functional improvement projects.

  • Interact with Oracle Cloud Fusion

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and leader with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, small-company, team environment. Project management, communication, ability to learn technical and system information, and leadership skills are critical.

Required Skills

7-10 years’ experience in a quality systems auditing or quality engineering

  • B.S. Degree in a technical field (STEM)

  • 7-10 years’ experience working with ISO9001 or AS9100

  • Ability to obtain ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent training within one year.

Desired Skills

  • Direct experience with Quality Engineering or Quality Systems Auditing in a microelectronics environment.

  • Thorough understanding of AS9100

  • Working knowledge of APQP (AS9145)

  • Excellent Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power App, JMP Statistical Tool, Oracle Cloud Fusion skills.

  • B.S. or M.S. in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering.

  • ASQ certification (CQA, CQE).

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $63,000.00 - $117,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
