Fortive Corporation Techno-Functional Business Analyst – Oracle EBS Finance in Bangalore, India

The Business Analyst will act as an intermediary between the Finance business community and the technical community. This individual will be a Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials functional and technical lead who will help implement key financial initiatives on the Oracle platform. This will require strong finance and accounting competence and the ability to translate business requirements into application and operational capabilities within the Oracle EBS Financials area.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Configures and builds solutions within Oracle Financial modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.

  • Work with, but not limited to Finance Lead and business team to build solutions that are aligned to the business processes.

  • Responsible for integrations and support of cloud modules (exp. Oracle ARCS, PBCS, OneStream)

  • Responsible for integrations and support of 3rd party tools such as BIZLINK, GLWand

  • Responsible for integrations and support payments, lockbox and cash reconciliations across Americas, Europe and Asia regions.

  • Analyzes, designs, configures and tests Oracle Financials enhancements to support business processes.

  • Leads projects involving configuration, implementation, testing, user training and project management.

  • Liaise across IT domains to deliver Oracle Financials functionality including but not limited to infrastructure, database, security and operations support.

  • Provides day to day support of the Oracle Financials environment including applying periodic patches, reporting requirements, ad-hoc requests from business and production system support.

  • Continuously reviews opportunities for improvement in how Oracle Financials platform is leveraged, brings standard processes to the forefront, and helps maintain the Oracle Financial strategy and road map.

  • Develop detailed system requirements specifications, complex data flow diagrams, test plans, swim lane and process diagrams using standardized documentation methods.

  • Architects and delivers financial related canned and ad-hoc reports.

  • Ensures that proposed solutions align with the company’s technology direction.

  • Ensures compliance with company’s change and security policies.

  • Works closely with Oracle development team in the creation and validation of user interfaces and functional/non-functional requirements.

  • Provides general technical support for Oracle EBS Financials system and user training.

  • Technical accountability for month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (Non-Negotiable):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field

  • 5 or more years of experience in analyzing and supporting Finance business functions.

  • 4 or more years of experience implementing solutions within financial modules of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.

  • Detailed business process knowledge across the Finance domain including Accounting, Procure to Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, Fixed Assets, Treasury and Cash Reconciliation

  • Hands on technical/functional expertise configuring Oracle E-Business Suite to support business processes, developing complex reports, and security.

  • Experience implementing system to system integrations through APIs and batch processes.

  • Experience implementing Oracle EBS integrations to 3rd party service providers and applications.

  • Experience with techniques including business process and systems flows, data/business object modeling, use case and user interface prototyping.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.

  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, OA Framework, and BI Publisher tools.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
